Little Italy's 9th Annual Festa

Our second MAJOR event...
and when we say major, we mean major...
oh, something like 70,000 people on India Street!

We've ordered extra everything, staffed up
and had our first nervous breakdown -
bring on the crowds!

The tent looks great...Marc's ready for the throngs of thirsty people too lazy to wait in line. The crowds are assembling rapidly. There's foot traffic in front of the store.

I wonder what's going on inside the inner sanctum.

Hmmm...suspicious...3 baristas hanging out...oh, wait it's only 7:40 am! They will be plenty busy at 10 when the event kicks off! Joe, laying out 2,345 cookies to be sold in the next 20 minutes. And we still have time for just one cheesy photo.

Christina and Nichole holding down the fort as the craziness begins. Christina taking a moment for a face massage - too much smiling! Shortly after that photo, I had to set down the camera, roll up my sleeves and make some lattes wicked fast! We served over 1,100 drinks that day...whew! (our daily average at that time was 370)
